In this article we are gonna talk about cyber bullying and how people need to put an end to it.While traditional bullying can start on the playground or at school, cyber bullying continues outside of school hours which leads to the phrase cyber bullying..typical bullying is physical while cyber bullying is mental.
Cyber bullying can take many forms like sending mean messages, threats to a person’s cell phone, spreading rumors online or through text, to posting hurtful or threatening messages on social networking sites,web pages ,or stealing a person’s account information to break into their account. Other things can be like sending damaging messages,or pretending to be someone else online to hurt another person, even taking unflattering pictures of a person, and spreading them through cell phones, and sexting.19 percent of cyber bullying often entails the spreading of rumors
This topic is important because if someone is harassed or constantly getting threats or hurtful messages in some cases it often leads to suicide. About 4,400 deaths per year occur, at least 100 teens attempt suicide, and 14 percent of high school students considered suicide, and 7 percent have attempted it. Hurting someone so much emotionally and sometimes physically that they decide that suicide is their only option is not OK , and nobody does anything about it. People need to make an end to cyber bullying. There has been a lot of deaths due to cyber Bullying. Too many lives have been taken due to hurtful comments on social media, and parents have lost their loved ones. It takes so much hatred, and words, from a person to make someone want to kill themselves and it’s not okay. The younger they are the more likely they will attempt suicide.When it comes to cyber-bullying, the cyber-bully is often motivated by boredom.They are basically taking someone’s child away from them and just imagine how the parents felt, and how empty they were, let alone how guilty that person felt. If they wouldn’t have only option. You are beautiful in your own way. Don’t let anybody tell you different. Don’t let anybody change you. BE YOU.” Many people are involved in cyber bullying one way or the other, either as the victim or as the perpetrator. Over 80% of teens use a cell phone regularly, making it the most common medium for cyber bullying. 68% of teens agree that cyber bullying is a serious problem. 83 percent of victims felt that the bullying hurt their self esteem. 30 percent of victims have turned to self harming behaviors, which has increased by 6 percent from 2013. 30 percent of children who have been bullied have suicidal thoughts, a 5 percent rise from 2013.10 percent of children have attempted to take their own lives due to bullying. 7 percent of victims have bullied others as a result of their torment. Cyber bullying is like a breakup, it can happen over text, it hurts mentally, sometimes physically, and not a lot of people do anything about it or know what to do about it., just like cyber bullying. 81% of young people think bullying online is easier to get away with than bullying in person. Due to all the cyber bullying in the world, people need to really open their eyes, and change the way they talk to people and how they treat them. ‘Rebecca Sedwick was almost 13 when she committed suicide after repeatedly receiving online messages telling her, “No one cares about u,” “U deserve to die” and “Why don’t u just kill yourself.” She joins 4,000 other youths who have taken their lives this year.’October 31, 2013 according to the CDC. You can save a life due to what you say, cause people have no idea what goes on in other people’s lives. Some people have hard lives but still be able to put a smile on their face. Words hurt. There are too many monsters in the world who take their anger out on people and make them feel bad about themselves, and make them feel worthless but for what? What do they get out of hurting someone and someone’s life? Just think if you were the cause of someone committing suicide, how would the people who cared for them would feel. Think about how the parents would feel and what they could have done to keep their child. You could save a life.
