Loretta Burke is a freshman at Paso Robles High School with an eye for design. Throughout her year in IMJ she has become proficient is the Adobe Suite and with programs such as WordPress and Trello. Loretta is a pre-AP student with a desire to learn, maintaining a GPA above a 4.0 for her high school career. Loretta has grown up in the Paso Robles community volunteering and contributing to such programs as the Paso Cares Homeless shelter, the Adelaide Schoolhouse, the Heritage Foundation and Saint Rose Catholic Church. She also competes year round in High School rodeos across the state and has participated in local volleyball, soccer and softball teams. This year Loretta began her journalism career with multiple Skills USA designs for meetings and t-shirts, in January she won a silver medal in advertising design. In April Loretta traveled to Seattle Washington with Crimson News-magazine for the NSPA/JEA National Convention, where they won first place in website and third place in tabloid. Next year she is going to be a member of the award winning Crimson News-magazine as well as being enrolled in multiple honors and AP classes.
