Mia’s struggle from Moving from Fresno to Paso. By Vanessa Maduena

During her 8th grade year, on her last week before summer break, Mia’s mom told her they were moving to Paso. Mia was heartbroken. She was going to miss her friends, family, and just the city in general.  Mid-summer, Mia packed all her stuff, drove 2 hours, and arrived at her new house. ” I was sad, and I didn’t even want to explore anything.” stated Mia. That was only the beginning. When Mia started school, She was quiet, and hardly talked to anybody. Then she started talking more in her classes, and made a couple of friends. Now, she has more friends and doesn’t mind Paso. ” Even though I don’t mind Paso, Fresno will always be my home. ”
